The most sought-after webtoon authors have hundreds and thousands of fans. Top webtoons are adapted into TV shows or even movies. Some are translated in multiple languages. Nowadays, there are private academies that teach how to become a webtoon cartoonist. There are even colleges with in-depth courses on webtoons. Webtoons are not a passing fad. I think they will only grow in popularity.
