When students in Korea enter their second year of high school, they have to choose between the humanities or the sciences track. This is aimed at providing more in-depth education. Depending on which track you choose, students take different elective classes. Students who choose sciences take higher-level classes for math and science. Humanities students do extra course work in world history, geography, or foreign languages. Choosing one's track has a major impact on college entry. Further on, it can even influence the job hunt. Some students change tracks mid-way. However, this is very rare. The system has its pros and cons.
i have to decide which track to take in school.
Do you prefer humanities, or the sciences?
I can't make up my mind.
Don't worry. You still have time.
