Education is a high-priority issue in Korea. Educational fervor is a hallmark of Korean culture. Children can go to English kindergartens when they are just 5 years old. As a result, kids often receive easily English education. At English kindergartens, English is used exclusively. Since children pick up languages quickly, they can learn to speak like natives. However, more children do not even know Korean very well when they enter kindergarten. The added burden of English can be too much to take. Sometimes, parents push their kids too hard. They mean the best, but this can lead to stress for children. Plus, English kindergartens can be very pricey. Overall, early English education has both pros and cons.
Will you be sending your children to an English kindergarten?
I'm not sure. I'm still thinking about it.
It's a tough decision.
It really is. There's so much to consider.
