If you ask my friends this question, I'm sure the majority of them would tell you that I'm clearly an extrovert. I disagree. I think I'm a introvert. As a child, I would spend the majority of my free time playing video games alon, or reading the encyclopedia, or playing in the part alone. Going into high school and university, I was never quite comfortable in large social situations, be in a house party, or the club, or an outdoor activitiy. I would always be the guy alone in the corner of the room playing on my phone.
Typically, with an economy like the United States, it is also big that it can absorb any given shock. But there have been instances with oil shocks, the price of gasoline suddenly spiking in decades past, where it's really thrown the U.S. into a funk. And if this were to occur as Americans are preparing to go to the polls, if the economy slows down, if it, in fact, starts to shrink or if a lot of people are suddenly thrown out of work, well, typically the party that's in power - the party occupying the White House - gets the blame.
