Talk about environmentally friendly cars.

Exhaust gases from cars contribute heavily to air pollution. They take a toll on air quality. They are also a cause of global warming. That's why there has been steady development of cars that produce less gas. Hybrid cars combine the best of gasoline and electric engines. They have long since been commercialized and mass produced. Electric cars and hydrogen cars produce no exhaust gases at all. These green cars area also being commercialized.

 

Talk about self-driving cars.

Self-driving cars are capable of driving themselves, without a driver behind the wheel. The cutting edge technology is becoming a reality. Cars that were the stuff of movies might become ordinaly in the near future. However, self-driving cars that can guarantee safety are still a work in progress. Driving systems that use AI are being applied to new cars. They provide back-up to drivers in many ways. A major example is adaptive cruise control. This feature uses sensors to maintain a safe distance with other cars.

 

Didn't you say you're going to get a new car?

Yeah, I am. I think I'm going to get an electric car this time.

Really? Isn't it a bit early for that? I hear the technology isn't ready.

It's getting there. I want something that's better for the environment.
