Talk about how people spend New Year's Eve.
People want to spend the last day of the year in a special way. We feel wistful about the year's end, but we also feel a sense of anticipation for the coming year. Some people go to squares in the city where they ring in the new year with crowds of people. Others wait quietly for the new year at home with families. Some people travel to take in the new year's first sunrise. There are several places all ove the country that are known to be good for seeing the sunrise. Everyone has a way of their own to end the year.
Talk about the things you remember about 2019.
Several events stand out in my mind from this year. Nationally, there are many conflicts because of political issues. Internationally, I remember issues due to relations souring between Korea and Japan. On a personal note, my 15th wedding aniversary was this year. It took me by surprise that so much time had passed since my wedding. It was a good year for my career. I got a great performance assessment at work. It made me swell with pride. It helped me lay the groundwork for a promotion next year. I hope things will be even better next year.
Do you have any regrets about 2019?
Not really. I like my job, and my family is healthy.
I'm glad you have such a positive attitude.
Yeah, I'm happy. Things are looking up.
