Talk about a trip you took to Norway.
Three years ago, I traveled through the Scandinavian peninsula for three weeks. I went through Denmark and Sweden en route to Norway. In Norway, I set out from Oslo and traveled up along the fjords. The most memorable place in Norway was Pulpit Rock which is a 600-meter high cliif. To get there, I had to hike 8 kilometers round trip. Altogether, it took 4 hours.
The ground was slippy because of inclement weather. I had to be careful not to lose my footing because I was trekking alone. When I finally reached the top, the view of Lysefjord from the cliff was a sight to behold. Water flowed beneath the steep cliff that seemed to go on forever. It was very beautiful.
I could have seen the sights by boarding a boat and touring the fjords. But I chose the hike because I wanted to feel a sense of accomplishment. It was the high point of my trip to Scandinavia.
I've been watching a TV show called 'Vikings'
Oh, I'm watching that too. They are up to season 6, right?
Yeah. There are so many scenes with gorgeous natural scenery.
It was enough to make me want to travel to Norway someday.
Same here.
I really want to see Scandinavian fjords with my own eyes.
