How to become a morning person.
Being a morning person has many benefits. Early risers are said to be more productive, more successful, and healthier. Despite these obvious advantages, jumping out of bed as soon as the alarm rings is easier said than done. Thankfully, however, it's not impossible if you know and avoid some of the common causes of feeling tired in the morning.
One of the biggest hurdles to becoming a morning person is something known as nighttime wakefulness. Essentially, this condition causes people to be out of synch with their normal sleep-wake cycle. People who suffer from nighttime wakefulness may have problems getting to bed, may fall asleep earlier than anticipated, or may nap unexpectedly.
Similarly, many people have difficulty getting up in the morning because they experience fragmented sleep. When this happens, people wake up several times during the night. They may be aware that they are waking up or they might be completely unaware that it is happening to them. In either case, this fragmented sleep affects them negatively in the morning.
However, it's important to remember that some people simply aren't morning people. No matter what they do or how hard they try to get a good night's sleep, they will always wake up in the morning feeling tired.
