날까마귀 2021. 7. 7. 12:27

Talk about flights to nowhere that don't land anywhere.

The extended COVID-19 crisis has put a damper on overseas travel. As a result, flights to nowhere that don't land have been given the green light for one year. Some domestic airlines are offering flights that take off from Incheon International Airport, circle arount a nearly country, and then land again in Incheon. The flights have gotten positive feedback. Flights to see the 2021 New Year's sunrise were sold out in just five minutes.

Users book tickets the same way they would before, except that they select the same place as the departure point and destination. They still have to go through airport security, and they can enjoy duty-free shopping up to 600 dollars. The seats on the flights are socially distanced, and no one can take off their masks under any circumstance. Switching seats is also prohibited. Some light snacks are provided for the passengers, but eating during the flight is also against the rules.

I haven't been on a plane in forever because of COVID-19 outbreak.

Yeah, me neither.

I hope flight route will open up again soon.

They recently kicked off flights to nowhere.

That's right. I have heard about those, too.

If we can't travel abroad even in the summer, I might give that a go.
