Recycling is one of the best ways to be eco-friendly. In the 90s, the volume-based garbage disposal system was introduced in Korea. Ever since, recycling has become a daily routine among people. The recycling rate in Korea is among the highest in the world. People take out the regular garbage in regulation garbage bags. This alone helps to reduce the amount of garbage. The recycling is divided into plastic, glass, metal and paper. They are left in designated places. Food waste is also separated from the garbage. All of this sounds like a big hassle, but it becomes second nature after a while, I'm glad to do my part for the environment.
