Going off of the fitness trend, there is a fad that has been taking my country by storm. This fad is a phone game that is linked to a GPS. The GPS tracks vitual prizes, and the users gain points by going to those prizes. What's interesting to me is that it makes people get outside and be a little more active than how they used to be. This kind of game isn't new, by all means; there was a popular one years ago and it's still around to this day.
