The air quality in Korea is getting worse and worse. There are many sources of pollution. one major source is pollution that blows over from China. The fine dust is a serious problem. It poses a heath threat. When there is a high concentration of fine dust, people's eye get itchy. They get swollen throats, and cough a lot. When fine dust enters the respiratory system, it can cause serious side effects. Some substances in fine dust are carcinogens. When there i s a fine dust alert, it's important to wear a facial mask. People in masks are a common sight these days. Elderly people and children should refrain from going outdoors. The only fundamental solution is to reduce pollution as a whole.

I'm not going outside today.

There's too much fine dust. I'm going to stay inside.
