People in Korea thought golf was a high society sport in the past, but it is much more common now. However, there is a shortage of golf courses and driving ranges. To cope with this shortage, there are many screen golf centers in Korea. You use a real club and ball, but you aim for a screen. When the screen is struck by the ball, it calculates where the ball would go. This is shown virtually on the screen. It can't compete with the real thing, but it comes pretty close. It's a good way to practice, so you can prepare yourself for when actually go out to a golf course. It's also fun to visit with friends. Many people like to make a friendly wager to see who can get the best score.
