날까마귀 2017. 11. 10. 09:05

In Korea, there are no official rules yet on smoking in residential buildings. Thanks to stronger anti-smoking laws, ordinary commercial buildings are smoke-free facilities. Smoking must be done in designated places. If anyone breaks the rule, both the smoker and the owner of the property must pay a fine. However, apartments are personal living spaces, so these laws do not apply. As a result, there are many complaints due to cigarette smoke. Smokers and non-smokers often argue with each other. There are even inconsiderate smokers who throw cigarette butts out the window, posing a fire hazard. Smokers might argue that they are smoking freely in their own homes, so it's not a problem. However, non-smokers get the short end of the stick. They have to smell from other people's cigarettes. A fundamental solution is needed to satisfy both smokers and non-smokers.

What are you doing? You can't smoke here.

Why not? It's my house.

Yes, but other people can smell it. Cut it out!

I didn't know it bothered you so much. I'll go outside.
