Talk about the overuse of plastic and it's impact on the environment.

Disposable containers that we throw away after a single use have made our lives convenient. However, a staggering amount is used world-wide, and the amount of trash has ballooned out of control. It takes dozens of years for plastic to naturally decompose. It has a critical impact on mother nature. Voices of concern over the side effects of using plastics excessively have increased the world over. Efforts are taking place everywhere to cut down on plastic use. Campaigns to reduce plastic use are in full sway in Korea, too. For example, laws have been put into effect to prevent giving disposable cups to people who buy drinks at coffee shops to stay. store owners who fail to comply must pay a stiff fine. These policies come with some inconvenience, but such efforts will surely help to protect the environment.

Why are you carrying so many plastic cups? Do you need some help?

Thanks. We served coffee at the meeting, and I have to throw away these cups.

What a waste. Why didn't anyone bring a tumbler or a mug?

I guess people think it's too inconvenient.
