Talk about the benefits of living in apartment buildings.

Living in an apartment has many benefits. First, it's safer because of airtight security. People can only come and go through the apartment complex's gate. Security guards prevent outsiders from entering. Also, people who live on higher floors have a great view. Newer apartments have plenty of parking space underground. The grounds of the apartment complex are often as pretty as parks. Playgrounds and daycare centers are usually provided. Also, there is a high concentration of shops and restaurants nearby. Visiting them is very convenient.

Talk about the downsides of living in apartment buildings.

Many households are clustered together in apartment buildings. Without meaning to, neighbors might inconvenience one another. Noise complains between floors are the biggest example. When someone upstairs runs around, people downstairs have to hear it all. Smoke from cigarettes rises to the upper floors. These issues are major resources of stress. They sometimes create rifts between neighbors. Apartment buildings are also build close together. This sometimes leads to invasions of privacy. Because the building are usually tall, using an elevator is a constant nuisance. If the elevator breaks down, residents have no choice but to use the stairs.
