Talk about companion animals

 

These day, when I go for a walk, I see a lot of people walking their dogs. I have a cat, so I am jealous of people who can walk with their companion animals. I've also seen people taking walks with parrots on several occasions. I've also seen videos online of a person with a pet meerkat. I also remember videos of a person who hatched an egg and kept the chicken as a pet.

More and more people are raising companion animals, and there is a wider variety of animals people have as pets. Modern people often feels cold-hearted. Perhaps people need something or someone to dote on. But raising a pet requires a strong sense of responsibility, to keep it to the very end. It's important to consider this beforehand. The rising number of abandoned pets has become a major problem in recent years.

 

I am in a dilemma because my son wants a pet dog.

Get one for him. It's good for a child's emotional growth.

I know that, of course.

But I suppose you don't feel up to having a dog.

That's right. What is it like for you, rasing a dog?

Everything she does is so adorable. We see her as another member of the family now.
