Talk about the capital area's subway system.

The subway system for the capital area around Seoul is a well-oiled machine. There are nine subway lines, and each line has a different color. There are also reginal trains and light rail lines that connect to the subway.

The first line to commence operation was Seoul's line 1 in 1974. At first, it only ran from Seoul station to Cheongnyangni Station. But now, it is directly linked to most major rail lines. Measuring 200 km, it has become the longest subway line in Korea. More sections are in the works to be opened in the future.

The Bundang metropolitan railway also opened, connecting Seoul and Bundang. Recently, the Bundang line has been linked to Cheongnyangni Station and all the way to Incheon. This means there are more ways to transfer to a different line, and transportaion has been made more convenient. 

Which mode of transportaion do you use most often?

I always take the subway.
