A lot of people do volunteer work or charity work these days. The vast majority of people do the work on their own. However, there are also companies where employees go in groups to welfare centers or facilities for the handicapped. The first time I did volunteer work, I was reluctant to go. However, when I did the work, I felt a sense of accomplishment. It was very rewarding. I feel good that I now volunteer every month. Charitable donations have also become more common. Partly, this is thanks to celebrities and public figures who donate for good causes. I hope that more and more people will chip in to help the disadvantaged.
