These days, air travel is not as expensive as it was in the past. This is because there are more low-cost carriers. For many domestic routes, plane tickets sometimes cost only half as much as they did before. More people are traveling abroad. It's the same story with international flights. The tickets are much cheaper. Ticket prices drop even more when airlines offer various promotions with steep discounts. Until recently, low-cost carriers only had shorter routes to nearby destinations. However, there are now long-distance flights at lower prices. I am glad traveling by plane is less of a financial burden.
