날까마귀 2017. 7. 11. 10:50

May is full of special days in Korea. May 1st is Labor Day. It's not a public holiday, but most workers get the day off. May 15th is Children's Day. It's a public holiday. Children get gifts from their parents. Places like theme parks get packed with young children and their families. May 8th is Parents' Day. This is a day when children express their appreciation toward their parents. Children get gifts for their parents and take them out for a good meal. May 15th is Teacher's Day. Students show how thankful they are toward their teachers. They write heart-felt letters to their teachers. People who have graduated from school commonly visit their former teachers to express their gratitude. May is also the peak season for weddings, mainly because the weather is so nice and good.

Are you doing anything special on Parents' Day?

I'm taking my parents out for a nice dinner.

Good for you.

I really love my parents. I can't thank them enough.
