Sujebi is a hearty soup with chewy cakes made with flour. The flour is mixed with water and salt to make dough. It's important to knead the dough for about 15 minutes or more. This improves the mouthfeel of the cakes. There are different recipes to make the broth. Usually, it's made by boiling dried anchovies or shellfish. Garlic can also be added for a stronger flavor. The dough is torn by hand into flat cakes and cooked in the broth. People also like to add potatoes or other vegetables. Sujebi is a popular comfort food in Korea. It's not fancy or high-end, but it's very filling and satisfying.

I made some sujebi.

That brings me back. My mom used to make it for us.

My mom did too. It was one of my favorite dishes.
