Talk about the body language of dogs.
My dogs express many emotions. When I arrive at home, she greets me enthusiastically. She wags her tail and barks loudly. She jumps up and down, and clearly lets me know how glad she is to see me. When I pet her, she licks my hand like there is no tomorrow to let me know she is happy. She goes nuts like this for at least five minutes. When she craves attention, she rolls over to show her belly and turns on the charm. She likes nothing better than to have her belly stroked. When I say something before I feed her or taking her for a walk, she perks up her ears and hangs on my every word. When she gets into trouble and tell her off, she puts her tail between her legs. She demonstrates that she feels remorseful. When I see her that way, I come around quickly.
You look a bit upset. Is something wrong?
It's just stress from work. I want to go home to see my dog.
You sat that a lot. Does your dog make you feel better?
Yeah, she really does. She gets me. She never nags or criticizes me.
