Talk about traffic problems in our lives.

There are 23 million registered cars in Korea. That amounts to one car for every two adults. The number is steadily rising, too. And since the population density is so high in major cities, traffic congestion is really bad during rush hour. On weekends, especially long weekends, highways get backed up very badly. Thankfully, sat-nav provides real-time traffic information. This helps because you can steer clear of congested areas. However, even this is no use in chronically congested areas.

 

Talk about bad driving habits.

Reckless driving and road rage are creating endless accidents these days. Suddenly changing lanes, cutting in line, traffic light violations, and speeding are all habits to avoid. Road rage caused by arguments between drivers is becoming a major social issue. Cars are like weapons, so driving recklessly is never okay. Drunk driving can also cause irreparabel damage to oneself, one's family, and to others. It must be avoided at all costs. Standards and penalties for drunk driving are getting stricter. Drivers should never take the wheel, even after just one drink.

 

You look really stressed out. Is something wrong?

The traffic was so bad this morning, it took me two hours to get to work.

You live in a downtown area. Of course the traffic is bad.
