It is short for "eating broadcasts". Meokbang features people eating. Others watch them eat, and learn about the dish. Top broadcasters have thousands of fan. They are highly visible and have a lot of sway. They earn a sizeable income by selling ad time. I think that internet broadcasters are here to stay.
