Talk about online concerts.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about changes in cultural performance in the past year. As social distancing measures are dragged on all year, large-scale gatherings were off limits in many cases. So, musicals, plays, concerts, and annual music festivals were mostly postponed, downsized, or cancelled.

However, people who were exhausted by the outbreak were in dire need of performances to comfort them. That's why world-class artists like Lady Gaga, Elton John, and Paul McCartney all held concerts online, free of charge. I saw their performances from home and I was deeply moved.

Recently, I also watched an online concert by BTS from home. I had to pay for the tickets, but various CG effects really amped up the excitement of an online performance.

It feels like online concerts by singers have become a thing these days.

Yeah. It's because COVID-19 has ruled out big performances.

Yes, I took in an online concert by BTS last year. It was a blast.
